Black Bear Brewery would like to invite you to the brewery for a tasting of a new beer we made called Liquid Sunshine. Liquid Sunshine is a Bavarian style Hefewiezen. We made every effort to create a genuine example of this style with this recipe.

This beer has the traditional clove aroma with a touch of lemon peel, but there are no spices added. The unique flavor comes from a traditional yeast selection which has been used in Germany for centuries. Hefewiezens are traditionally left unfiltered and as a result, ours has a nice light straw color, almost white. The finish is quite dry, making this beer extremely refreshing and drinkable. For the hot summer days try cooling down with “Liquid Sunshine”!

For more information, view the event flyer, or join the event on Facebook.

Cheers!

This year’s Harvest IPA is smooth and malty, with a fresh hop finish from twenty-five pounds of locally grown organic cascade hops added. This massive dose of finishing hops allows all of the flavor and aroma of the hops to infuse in the beer, while keeping the bitterness in check.

Tim used these hops in a fashion called a hop-back, which allows the finished beer to flow over the hops, soaking them with beer, and steeping the hops in freshly brewed beer. This keeps the bitterness of the hops from entering the beer, and only the delicate flavor and aroma is infused.

For more information about this year’s Harvest IPA, download our Harvest IPA flyer.

Harvest IPA will be available soon so don’t miss it!
