We’ll be hosting the January Bangor Greendrinks tonight at Black Bear Microbrew. Bring your pint glass and come down to learn more about your local microbrew!
July 1, 2011, from 4-7pm 19 Mill St #4 , Orono
Black Bear Brewery would like to invite you to the brewery for a tasting of a new beer we made called Liquid Sunshine. Liquid Sunshine is a Bavarian style Hefewiezen. We made every effort to create a genuine example of this style with this recipe.
This beer has the traditional clove aroma with a touch of lemon peel, but there are no spices added. The unique flavor comes from a traditional yeast selection which has been used in Germany for centuries. Hefewiezens are traditionally left unfiltered and as a result, ours has a nice light straw color, almost white. The finish is quite dry, making this beer extremely refreshing and drinkable. For the hot summer days try cooling down with “Liquid Sunshine”!

Cheers!
Black Bear Microbrew attended Bangor Greendrinks last night at Hampden Natural Foods.
From Maine Buzz:
Greendrinkers were tempted with food by Ann Marie’s Kitchen and locally produced Cupelo wine and Black Bear Brewery beer. It was a great turnout and I for one look forward to attending more of these fun events. If you love the environment mark your calendars for the next Greendrinks event: July 6th. Place is TBD. Check out the Bangor Greendrinks on facebook and get involved!

If you haven’t had any yet, stop by your local Black Bear retailer and pick up a growler of our popular winter seasonal, Black Demon Stout. This dark and roasty ale is sure to keep you company on these cold winter nights.
If you’ve already seen Black Demon Stout in the store, make sure you pick some up. This beer is only available in the winter, and spring is just around the corner.
Cheers!
